house rules

Our house rules are meant to ensure the safety, respect, and wellbeing of everyone within our space and our community, including our team, guests, hosts, partners, and collaborators.

We kindly ask that you keep these in mind when visiting the teahouse.

We encourage comfortable clothing that helps you feel at home with yourself. Please, No Shoes inside the teahouse. You may bring socks, if you'd like.

An invitation to have no expectations, as each night at the teahouse offers its own magic. This space is experienced differently by everyone. The energy you bring in will be what you receive.

Tea is included with every reservation.

Please be kind to other guests in the space. This is an inclusive and intergenerational community. All are welcome.

Reservations are required and available via our calendar. No walk-ins. If you arrive without a reservation, you will be turned away at the door.

We have a strict cancellation policy. No refunds/exchanges. We understand that things come up, so we've created a community-run discord for guests looking to exchange amongst themselves.

No parties larger than four, no exceptions.

We find that parties larger than this disrupt the intimate nature of our space. If you would like to reserve our tea rooms for parties larger than 4+ guests, please book a consultation.

We fill our tea house with things we love. Please be mindful of the space and do not take anything, including soaps, candles, and other small items.

No outside food or professional videography / photography.

Be considerate of our neighbors when arriving and departing.

Be careful when parking. Do not wander the alleyways alone at night. We encourage the buddy system always.

No animals, please and thank you.

We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

We reserve the right to ask guests to leave if we find they have disregarded any of the above rules or if we find they are being disrespectful to anyone at the teahouse, including our team or other guests.

If you have any questions, please contact us.

Thank you for understanding, and we hope to welcome you for tea soon ~

warmly,
tea at shiloh
